We Believe In…
The Bible
The Bible – is the infallible word of God. It is divinely inspired, Holy, trustworthy and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct – 2 Tim 3: 6-7.
The Trinity
The Trinity – we believe that the Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these are one God. We believe in the sovereignty and Grace of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in creation, redemption and final judgement.
Salvation
Salvation – The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen man, making him subject to God’s wrath and condemnation: the justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through repentance and faith in Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
The Saviour
The Saviour – The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin and from its eternal consequences: we believe in His virgin birth, His real and complete humanity and deity, in His sinless life, His bodily resurrection and in His ascension.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit – We believe in the necessity of the work of the Spirit in the conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification and that the believer is also promised an endowment of power in the gifts of Christ that come through the baptism in the Holy Spirit which is accompanied with signs following.
The Commission
The Commission – We believe that the Gospel embraces the needs of the whole man and that the Church is therefore commissioned to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world and to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual needs of mankind.
The Church
The Church – We believe in the priesthood of all believers, who form the universal church, the body of which Christ is the Head and which is committed by His command to live and proclaim this Good News (Gospel) throughout the world.
The Ministry
The Ministry – We believe in the ministries which Christ has set in the Church, namely, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers – for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the Body of Christ. We also believe in the manifold ministries that come through the operation of the gifts of the Spirit.
Ordinances
Ordinances – We believe in the following ordinances: partaking of bread and wine in memory of the Lord’s death (1 Cor 11), Baptism by immersion for believers, the laying on of hands for faith-filled prayer.
The Return of Jesus
The Return of Jesus – we believe in the personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory to receive unto Himself the Church.
The Future State
The Future State – We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgement of the world, the eternal conscious bliss of the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked.
