Living To Serve Him

Redburn Community Church is an eldership led assembly. We believe in ‘Body Ministry’ and the ‘Priest-hood of all believers’, so the role of Elders and ‘leaders’ is to facilitate God’s Holy Spirit leading His Church through His people – Jesus said ‘I will build My Church’.

Trevor Hull – Elder
Trevor first put his trust in Jesus as his personal Saviour back in 1979 as a shy and bashful 13-year-old.   He is now married to Maggie and together they have a son and a daughter – Simon and Sophie, both of whom are faithful followers of Jesus. Trevor works in the Aerospace industry as a Senior Materials & Processes Engineer at a local, Belfast-based, Aircraft Design / Manufacturer where he has been employed for over 34 years.  His passion is for Christians to model ‘Christ-likeness’ in our communities and ‘market-place’ by good works, wisdom, compassion, faith and humility.  His further passions are for the building of God’s Church, for mission and the personal maturity of believers in their faith-journey with Jesus.

Pastor Brian Gingles – Apostolic Oversight
Brian is Pastor at our ‘sister’ church, Larne Christian Fellowship, and is co-leader of BFoC International. In this latter role he provides Apostolic input to Redburn Community church having had a long association with us since our foundation under former Pastor, Keith Gerner, in the 1970s. Brian’s great passion is to serve God in teaching, preaching and planting churches. His desire is to support others in reaching wholeness in Christ and the fulfilment of their ministries.  Brian has been ministering internationally for well over thirty-five years. He and his wife, Caroline, have two adult children and one grandchild.

Redburn Community Church is an Eldership-led church with Trevor Hull and Ivan McKenzie as Elders and Eva Smyth as Deacon. We are a sister church of Larne Christian Fellowship and a member of the Barnabas Fellowship of Churches with other sister churches in England, France, Israel, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We actively meet with and cooperate with the other church congregations in the town of Holywood through the monthly ‘Prayers for Holywood’ and Holywood Clergy Fraternity meetings. A couple of good examples worth mentioning are the Holywood Hope outreach that involved all the church groups in the town back in 2018 and will resume once covid subsides and the Street Pastors ministry seeking to Care, Listen and Help on Saturday Nights in the town.

Redburn Community Church believe in the power of Prayer and that God wants us to talk to Him – after all it is He that has all the answers – so we have a weekly prayer meeting.

We believe too that God reveals Himself through His Word, the Bible and we are blessed to have good Bible teachers available – so we also have weekly Bible Studies.

Add to that Alpha Courses, Discipleship opportunities and the testimonies of many year’s-worth of collective ‘life’ experience from our folks battling through all manner of life’s trials and knowing God’s awesome Hand guiding us in all of it. Why not come and join us?
