Our Vision
To grow to maturity in Christ as a ‘Community of Believers’ to impact the Community of Holywood and beyond as God enables us. Accountable to God and to one another as we seek to walk in our individual and corporate ‘Callings’ in God. To become a Worshipping community and a Prophetic and Intercessory community – praying for the coming of God’s Kingdom, the perfecting of His Bride and modelling Christ-likeness where God has placed us.
What We Believe
- The Bible – is the infallible word of God. It is divinely inspired, Holy, trustworthy and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct – 2 Tim 3: 6-7.
- The Trinity – we believe that the Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these are one God. We believe in the sovereignty and Grace of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in creation, redemption and final judgement.
- Salvation – The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen man, making him subject to God’s wrath and condemnation: the justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through repentance and faith in Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
- The Saviour – The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin and from its eternal consequences: we believe in His virgin birth, His real and complete humanity and deity, in His sinless life, His bodily resurrection and in His ascension.
- The Holy Spirit – We believe in the necessity of the work of the Spirit in the conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification and that the believer is also promised an endowment of power in the gifts of Christ that come through the baptism in the Holy Spirit which is accompanied with signs following.
- The Commission – We believe that the Gospel embraces the needs of the whole man and that the Church is therefore commissioned to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world and to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual needs of mankind.
- The Church – We believe in the priesthood of all believers, who form the universal church, the body of which Christ is the Head and which is committed by His command to live and proclaim this Good News (Gospel) throughout the world.
- The Ministry – We believe in the ministries which Christ has set in the Church, namely, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers – for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the Body of Christ. We also believe in the manifold ministries that come through the operation of the gifts of the Spirit.
- Ordinances – We believe in the following ordinances: partaking of bread and wine in memory of the Lord’s death (1 Cor 11), Baptism by immersion for believers, the laying on of hands for faith-filled prayer.
- The Return of Jesus – we believe in the personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory to receive unto Himself the Church.
- The Future State – We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgement of the world, the eternal conscious bliss of the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked.

Worship
Worship is a heart response from every true Believer. As surely as we are born with a need of a personal relationship with our God, Creator and King, which is only satisfied as we give our lives fully to Him, so is it our response to give Him honour, worth and reverence in every area of our lives. Worship can be in praise, music and singing. It can also be in dance, poetry and the creative arts. We encourage our group to live our lives as an act of daily devotion and worship to God our Father, as we work, live and ‘be’, living each day ‘unto our God’. We encourage you to do like-wise and join us as we worship and honour our God together.

Love
Redburn Community Church exists as a part of the greatest Family on the planet – the Family of God. As God is Our Father, we meet as His Children to learn about Him, to become more like Him and to spend time thanking, praising, praying and worshipping Him. Partnering with the other Church groups in the town of Holywood, our ‘sister’ church in Larne, the Barnabas Fellowship of Churches (International) and a host of other local and international missions and ministries our desire is to see all of God’s creation come to know Him.
In our God there is LOVE – perfect, awesome, unconditional, liberating, healing LOVE! Even though His humanity turned its back on Him – He extends to us this Love by GRACE alone. We don’t deserve it and we can’t earn it yet in His amazing Grace He runs after us. His written word – the Bible – is one big love letter to us that reveals His Sovereignty, Power, Majesty and Beauty – and all that He promises to us – if only we believe! And so enters FAITH – that He will truly honour His promises to us if we can only take Him at His word. And so we can have HOPE as we live each day in a personal relationship with One who rules the universe, that determines life & death and daily does the impossible. So why not come and join the Family?
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
That you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
